Interview .
CHATWIN: How would you describe yourself to someone who has never met you?
ORTNER: I am easygoing, go-with-the-flow, and accepting of things that are out of my control. I’m also loving and careful.
CHATWIN: What is something in your room/home that says a lot about who you are?
ORTNER: I have a heart tin with pieces of each bouquet that my boyfriend has given me. I think it shows how much I care about the people around me and the effort they put into loving me.
CHATWIN: What colors, textures, and objects resonate with you?
ORTNER: I love lace, structured/shaped garments, and neutral colors like black/white/navy/yellow. I generally wear no jewelry and have my hair down. I think flowers could be something we incorporate.

FINAL PORTRAIT
SORE
Sore is a word that stood out to me when I read it in a context I had never seen it in before : “he got sore” , as in tired of someone, annoyed, angry, frustrated.
In my zine, I wanted to explore the many meanings, physical and emotional, of
sore.

I loved the way InDesign inverted an image when I highlighted text over it ....
Negative screenshots and Green lines
became motifs of the Zine
